Hametz Sale

"Since ownership of hametz (bread and other leavened products) is not allowed during Passover, ideally all hametz in one's possession would be given away or destroyed before the holiday begins. Since this often represents a financial hardship, the practice arose for people to store away their hametz before Passover and arrange to sell it for the duration of the holiday. By filling out the form below, you are appointing the Rabbi to arrange the sale on your behalf. By clicking on the submit button below, I/we hereby authorize the Rabbi to act as my/our agent in the sale of all hametz that may be in my/our possession wherever it may be - whether at home, at a place of business, or elsewhere - in accordance with the requirements of Jewish law. All hametz in my/our possession that will not be consumed by the latest time for eating hametz on April 22nd will be stored and sealed by the latest time for burning hametz that day and will remain stored away for the duration of Pesach.  Donations will be used to help those in need during Passover.
Your donations help to fight food insecurity in our community.  Families in need will be sent groceries to help them in their time of need.  Thank you for your generosity.
I, hereby designate the Rabbi of ATJC as my agent to sell all kinds of hametz including but not limited to any leavened food, dishes, pots, pans and utensils affected by hametz, which may be in my possession. I understand that the sale will be in effect during the duration of the Passover holiday.
