Family Mission to Israel June 13–24, 2010
Dear Friends,
It is with tremendous enthusiasm that I invite you to join the “We Are Family” Mission to Israel, June 13 – June 24, 2010. Under the leadership of ATJC bus chairs Dr. Beny and Marta Rub, we are excited to bring our synagogue families on this trip of a lifetime.
The mission is specifically designed for families with children. For the 12-14 year old children, they will enjoy a special Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony to be held at the Wailing Wall. Grandparents are encouraged to join their families as the itinerary contains activities appropriate for adults and children alike. The “We Are Family” mission consists of three buses in partnership with the Greater Miami Jewish Federation—our ATJC bus, one from Beth Torah under the leadership of Rabbi Mario Rojzman, and one from Temple Sinai under the leadership of Rabbi Alan Litwak. It is for those who have been to Israel many times, as well as for those who are planning their first Israel experience. Together, we will explore sacred sites, visit museums and cultural centers, and learn about the current political situation. We will experience the mystical spirit of Tzfat, the natural beauty of the Galilee, the modern society of Tel Aviv, and the peace of Shabbat in Jerusalem.

The North Dade “We Are Family” Mission to Israel is a Community Partnership of Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center, Beth Torah Benny Rok Campus, Temple Sinai of North Dade and other area synagogues, together with the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. (Participating congregations as of 9/09.)
