About our Honoree
Dr. Amir Baron came to the Aventura Turnberry Jewish in 1990 as Executive Vice President, after serving 14 years as Director of Education of Temple Emanu-El and the Lehrman Day School in Miami Beach.  He is the recipient of the Distinguished Jewish Educator Award of the World Zionist Organization, bestowed upon him for 20 years of professional achievements and
community service to the American Jewish community.  He is also a recipient of The Shazar Prize, presented to him by the President of Israel, the honorable Chaim Herzog, in recognition of the quality and level of excellence he achieved with the Lehrman Day School.
Dr. Baron received his doctoral degree and Master of Arts degree in Education from the University of Pittsburgh.  He also holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science, which he earned at Barry University in Miami.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Bar-Ilan University, Ramat-Gan, Israel.
